I am a metalhead, a downhill biker, a rider, and a three-pedal driver. I learned how to drive on a 5-speed 2001 BMW Z3 and love rev-matching my ND Miata. I golf, too.

My biggest passion, however, is tinkering: I prototype something on my computer, then move over to my shop bench to build it. Oh, something is not right—this can be smaller, that needs to be beefier, and why doesn’t this work? Rinse and repeat. In my best memories, I’ve been gathering pieces and assembling stuff: my Lapierre DH-720, my Honda Navi, architecture models, and Grasshopper scripts into real building elements, then going out to build them.

I love my cat, Rhino—a bastard tabby from the SPCA of Tompkins County. He adopted me in the summer of 2020. We’ve since traveled continents, living in Ithaca, Detroit, Beijing, Shanghai, and Amsterdam. He has more paperwork than I do.
